    About this course
    The Mind & Body programme helps bridge the divide between mental and physical health in healthcare settings by providing you with the tools you need to ensure you look out for both patients’ mental and physical health.
    This course aims to do just that. Through this course, you will be able to improve your confidence and competence in managing challenging clinical situations about interacting physical and psychological needs.
    Through this course you will be able to:
    • Improve your confidence and competence in managing challenging clinical situations about interacting physical and psychological health needs.
    • Understand the professions, services, settings, and pathways available to people who have both physical and psychological needs.
    • Increase competence to share your own skills and learn from others.
    • Increase your skills and gain an understanding of the resources available to take care of yourself in the context of working with highly distressed people.

    Dr Chun Chiang Sin Fai Lam

    MB Bch BAO MRCPsych FHEA PGCert(Edu) | Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist 
    Dr Chun Chiang Sin Fai Lam is a consultant liaison psychiatrist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and is involved with undergraduate teaching at King's College London. He works in King's College Hospital in the acute medical hospital as well as specialist outpatient services within renal, liver and gastroenterology. He has an interest in the interface between interactive entertainment and mental health.

    Dr Naomi Stent

    Primary Care Clinical Advisor
    Naomi is a GP in a busy Lambeth practice. She is passionate about General Practice and enjoys many aspects of this challenging and unpredictable specialty. She enjoys applying a holistic approach to her clinical practice and is particularly interested in improving the management of patients with medically unexplained symptoms. Her role is to improve social and primary care engagement with the Mind & Body programme.

    Omar is the Physical Health Specialist Nurse covering all nine of SLaM’s boroughs. He is passionate about tackling the health inequalities in the communities that SLaM serve by championing ‘Parity of Esteem'.
