About this course
This course examines the rapidly evolving role of technology in healthcare communication, a trend accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. It introduces learners to the principles and practices of remote clinical communication—real‑time, two‑way interactions between clinicians and patients who are not physically co‑located—and situates these within the broader landscape of digital communication, telehealth, and e‑health. Through clear definitions, contemporary examples, and emerging evidence, the course examines how remote and digital encounters are conducted, the technologies that enable them, and the evolving experiences and perceptions of both clinicians and patients in a post‑pandemic healthcare environment.
