About this course
The Consultant Files
Preparing the next generation of haematology consultants
The transition from trainee to consultant brings a new set of responsibilities that extend far beyond clinical expertise. Yet many of the skills needed to navigate this transition, from leadership and management to interviews, appraisal, mentorship, and innovation are often underrepresented in formal training.

The Consultant Files
is a practical webinar and networking programme designed specifically for haematology trainees approaching consultancy and newly appointed consultants. Through a series of expert-led webinars, interactive sessions and discussions, the programme explores the essential skills needed to thrive in the consultant role.

Topics include leadership and management, interview and career skills, appraisal and job planning, clinical trials, mentorship, service development, and innovation, alongside practical insights from experienced consultants and leaders in haematology.

Webinars will be recorded and hosted on this website creating an accessible, evolving resource that trainees and new consultants can return to throughout their careers.

Because becoming a consultant is more than becoming an independent clinician, it is becoming a leader, educator, mentor and advocate for your patients and your service.
