Presentations are predominantly clinical cases from general and malignant haematology and may be typical cases of a disease, unusual diagnostic or clinical features of a disease or cases of some rarer diseases. The series also includes seminars on flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular biology throughout the year.

The presentations usually last 30 to 40 minutes, including time for questions and discussion with the audience – a range of senior haematology consultants, registrars, trainees, nurses and molecular science laboratory staff.
