This webinar series is for clinicians who work in a mental health setting, and hold responsibility for managing the physical health of service users.

It was originally designed to support clinicians to address physical health issues encountered by patients at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). However, the content will be applicable to clinicians working in similar settings e.g. those working in Mental Health Trusts other than SLaM.

Once enrolled you will have the opportunity to watch the recorded sessions, refresh your knowledge and get up to date advice on short and long term management goals of commonly occurring physical health issues in mental health, and hear the response to questions raised by mental health clinicians during the live sessions.

The topics that are covered have been decided based on a number inputs:

• Themes identified from staff surveys and interviews
• Referrals made to the IMPHS Physical Health Clinic
• Content of the queries from nearly 200 calls made via Consultant Connect (from the 5 most frequently called specialisms: Cardiology, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Haematology, Neurology, Acute Medicine)
• Requests made by psychiatry trainees at the Maudsley Hospital
