This course is intended for Post-graduate Paediatric doctors. Designed to provide skilled practice in challenging communications scenarios experienced in paediatrics; to improve the communication skills of paediatric doctors in training. This half-day training developed by the London School of Paediatrics is being offered to non-training grade paediatric doctors, including international medical graduates at GSTT and KCH. Learning outcomes: develop knowledge, understanding and skills related to being able to communicate with patients and families especially in the context of complex or potentially challenging conversations.

The day is held virtually to accommodate social distancing rules but incorporates realistic scenarios routinely used in this programme, with a professional actor and facilitated by a trained debriefer.
