Sarah Milne

RN, BSc (Hons), MSc Student, Kidney Nurse Consultant and Clinical Service Line Lead for Chronic Kidney Disease & Renal Outpatient, Royal Free London, NHS Foundation Trust, Member of London Kidney Network, Health Equity Group, HEE Population Health Fellow 2020/2021

Sarah is a senior kidney nurse with 20 years experience, mostly in the field of kidney care who has an interest in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) prevention and early intervention , reducing health care inequalities and peer support. In 2020, Sarah was one of 16 multi-professional fellows accepted onto Health Education England first national Population Health Fellowship. She co-chairs the North Central London (NCL) Kidney network driving improvements in quality and outcomes for patients with CKD in NCL and is the education lead for the LKN's Health Equity Group.

Susan Cummins 

RGN, RMN, BSc, MSc., Physical Health Community Matron with Camden & Islington Foundation Trust, and Lead Nurse for Islington GP Federation SMI Nursing Team. Member Health Equities Group (HEG), London Kidney Network (LKN). NCL System leaders Nurse Fellow 2023-2024.

Susan has over 30 years’ experience working in mental services, gaining deep insight and understanding around the needs of people who experience severe mental illness. Over the years she has forged strong links with local primary care services which enabled the collaboration between her Trust and Islington GP Federation in establishing the Islington SMI health check nurse team in 2018.

Dr Ben Oliveira

MBChB, MRCP Consultant Nephrologist, Guy’s and St Thomas; NHS Foundation Trust, Member Health Equities Group (HEG), London Kidney Network (LKN).

Ben is a Nephrologist with an interest in managing Chronic Kidney Disease, particularly around helping improve quality of life in this patient group. His PhD was focused on how iron affects muscle strength and function in people with CKD. He also has an interest in healthcare inequalities and on addressing the social determinants of health. He has championed greater trainee involvement in the LKN and has a passion for education.

Roseline Agykum

Roseline Agyekum RN, FHEA, MSc, PG Cert HCP, BSc, CCN, PhD Student, Lead Nurse, Clinical Practice & Education, Senior Practitioner Lecturer (King’s Kidney Care & King’s College London).

Roseline has over 20 years of clinical and teaching and practice development experience in the renal care setting. Her practice development focus has been on continuous workforce education. In 2021, Roseline secured an NIHR Pre-doctoral Clinical and Practitioner Academic Fellowship which focussed on addressing kidney health inequalities among people of African and Caribbean heritage. As a Community Kidney nurse researcher, Roseline is leading a team of Peer Educators to undertake community kidney health screening within the African and Caribbean communities.

Roseline’s PhD focuses on early identification of kidney disease among people of African and Caribbean communities, family members of people diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and people diagnosed with severe mental illness. She is passionate about collaborating and engaging with lay community members, faith and non-faith groups and charity organisations to continually develop culturally tailored information to reduce kidney health inequalities.

Andre Crawford

FdSc, BSc, PGCE, MA, Learning Technologist

Andre is a UX/UI developer and a qualified teacher with over 10 years of experience. He has developed institution-wide digital curriculums for subject matter experts, developing college-wide training and development strategies from skills-gap analysis and specialises in developing online and blended learning programmes.
